 How would you feel if you were hospitalized or placed in an extended care facility and were told that you would have to give up your companion animal, perhaps for the rest of your life? Unfortunately, it happens every day in San Antonio. That's exactly why local members of Delta San Antonio are volunteering to bring their furry friends to visit people in area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation hospitals, assisted living homes and shelters. By doing this, our Animal Ambassadors (who are registered national Delta Society Pet Partners) are brightening the days and improving the health of countless children, adults, the aged and the disabled through animal-assisted activities and therapy.
